THIS INTERNSHIP IS FOR YOU IF…
You’re the person who sees a garment and immediately wants to know:
“How did they make that?”
You’re interested in more than just the finished dress. You want to understand the pattern, construction, fabric, fitting, finishing, and everything that happens behind the scenes.
You want to develop your sewing skills.
You want to understand pattern making.
You want to learn how designers work with clients.
And you want to see what it’s actually like to operate a custom fashion business.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a hands-on working internship.
You will not simply be observing from the sidelines.
You may be given sewing, pattern-making, organization, communication, and administrative tasks based on your skill level and the current needs of the studio.
Some days may involve sewing.
Some may involve pattern work.
Some may involve answering emails and organizing client information.
And some days may involve tasks that aren’t glamorous but are necessary to keep a fashion business running.
Every part of the process matters.
A LOOK INSIDE THE PROCESS
DESIGN
An idea becomes a design concept.
PATTERN
The design is translated into a workable pattern.
MOCKUP
The pattern becomes a mockup so fit and construction can be evaluated.
CONSTRUCTION
Fabric, sewing, and technique bring the garment together.
FITTING
The garment is evaluated and adjusted as needed.
FINISHING
Details, embellishments, finishing work, and final preparation complete the piece.
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Behind every garment is a client who deserves clear, professional communication throughout the process.
As an intern, you’ll get to see how all of these pieces work together.

We take our clients, their garments, and their information Seriously.
Interns are expected to:
● Arrive prepared and ready to work
● Treat client garments and materials with care
● Maintain client confidentiality
● Communicate professionally

We are especially interested in applicants who already have some experience with sewing and pattern making and want to take those skills further.
If you have a portfolio, sewing projects, sketches, garments you’ve made, or examples of your pattern work, we’d love to see them.
